Issue with checking answers on the questions within the Python course

I have been doing the Python course for a week now and last week the check answer feature was fine but now when I click it nothing happens. Not sure if it’s something on my computer. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

Good morning, @IrishGal12. Thank you for your note and glad to see that you’ve kicked off the Python course. If possible, do you have a screenshot of the issue you’re experiencing? I’m happy to take a look and provide feedback to get you unstuck.

Adam

Hi Adam,

I have taken a screen recording but it won’t let me upload it! Basically alls that happens is I click the button it goes a bit lighter so looks like it has been pressed but nothing actually happens. I am on Mac not sure if that’s causing an issue. I tried today and it initially didn’t work in the normal safari, but I then tried in a private browser and that seemed to fix it, not sure why tho!

Thanks for sharing back @IrishGal12. For reference, the forums support .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, and .avi files that are under 30MB. I’m glad to hear though, that a private browser worked to get you back in. If you can double check your file size and type, feel free to give it another try - or you can email it to me at adamsmeets@microsoft.com and I’ll take a look.

Hello Adam.

Not sure if I’m having the same problem as @IrishGal12; when I try to take the code challenges at the end of each lesson, nothing appears in the terminal when I press the RUN button.

Hi @grobin1206 thanks for reaching out. What browser are you using? What page are you stuck on? One thing to check is that you have access to all the required sites using our Connectivity tool at Visual Studio Code for Education.

When you hit the run button, you should get information presented in the Terminal like what is displayed below:

Hello Adam; thanks very much for responding.

I’m using Google Chrome as my browser, and don’t get anything at all in the terminal when pressing the RUN button; I’m taking the course using my computer at work, and one of our system admins thinks that there must be something blocking it Chrome; not really sure if the terminal is being blocked by our firewall or not.

Hi Adam,

When I try to upload the video it says new users can’t upload, but it does seem to have sorted itself out and is working fine now so thinking it may have just been a glitch!
