Web Preview not reflective of published site

image

when I load up a preview, there’s a white border around it that I didn’t put there - but when I look at the published site, it has no border. There also seems to be an issue with external image assets. They show up fine in the published site, but don’t seem to work in the preview.

I am really hoping to be able to move from Replit (and now, Glitch) to VS Code for Education, but this is one of the things that makes it just a little weird and tough to use!

Thank you for raising this feedback @JosephMaxwell - and welcome to the Community Forums. I had the opportunity to look into this and can replicate the issue on my side as well - notably that there’s a white border around the background color which is not present in my code:

I created an issue with our team (#2334) and will post updates here once this is resolved. We also have another issue for external images not appearing in the Preview but appearing when you publish your site (#1341).

Again, I appreciate you sharing this feedback and we’ll post updates for these fixes in our “Announcements”.
